What is the best use for this product?
Rently’s Access Panel with Intercom is a dual-purpose device. It's a secure access control solution with a built-in intercom for stronger security and enhanced visitor management at your community entrances. Your residents and visitors gain access via their mobile devices, pin codes or FOBs. Guests can use the virtual intercom to speak directly with residents on-demand. For amenity access, see our companion device the Access Panel Pro.
Can this product be used at amenities and shared spaces?
While the Rently Access Panel with Intercom can be used at amenities, we recommend the Rently Access Panel Pro as a companion piece. The Access Panel Pro has more compact design with all the same features, minus the intercom. Both devices support custom schedules, Passage Mode, and amenity reservations.
How does the intercom service work?
When a visitor arrives at the entry point where the Access Panel with Intercom is installed, they simply scan the QR code on the access panel to view the Resident Directory. The visitor searches for the specific resident they are visiting. Once a selection is made, a call is routed through the intercom’s cloud-based platform to the resident’s smartphone.
The resident sees and communicates with the visitor through the mobile app. If they decide to grant access, they are able to remotely unlock the door or gate with a simple gesture to unlock, eliminating the need for physical keys or fobs. The resident can even stay on the line with the visitor to provide instructions to quickly locate the resident’s location within the community.

Do I need an additional access controller or power supply for installation?
Rently's Access Panel with Intercom does not require an additional access controller. It simply connects to a standard 120 VAC outlet for power for quick and easy installs.
Is the Access Panel with Intercom suitable for outdoor use?
Yes. The panel has UL-294 certification and IP65 weather resistance, ensuring reliable operation both indoors and outdoors.
Is the Access Panel with Intercom part of a Rently solution or an add-on purchase?
The Access Panel with Intercom product is a separate hardware purchase. Property managers control the access panel functionality directly from the Rently Smart Home Manager portal.
How much does it cost?
The MSRP is $1,299 for the Access Panel with Intercom. The MSRP is $1,448 for the Access Panel with Intercom plus the Installation Kit.
The monthly Access Panel software fee is $45. The monthly Intercom software fee is $4 per unit.

Can the Access Panel with Intercom be used during Rently’s self-guided tours?
Yes. Property managers can generate entry codes for the access panel and include those with the primary self-touring access codes. This way, prospective renters can access a property and its common areas during their self-guided tour.
